St. Clair Brooks Park BMP Design

Spotsylvania County, VA

As required by the state for MS4 compliance, Stafford County sought to construct certain stormwater improvements throughout the County.  These improvements were constructed in an effort to reduce overall phosphorus, nitrogen, and TSS runoff and pollutants to the Chesapeake Bay and meet certain TMDL goals.  Legacy partnered with Stafford County to survey, design and construct new biofilters in St. Claire Brooks Park as identified in previous Countywide TMDL studies.  The project was successfully design, bid and constructed.

This BMP design project in southern Stafford not only help curb pollutants from entering the Chesapeake Bay, but also gives county residents a refreshing new recreational experience.
