Our employee spotlights showcase some of our most talented and trusted team members. This month, we are featuring Legacy’s Survey Project Manager, David “Dave” Baird. Dave graduated cum laude from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering Technology. Dave brings over 25 years of land surveying experience and provides both technical and project management skills in conducting, coordinating, and overseeing the successful completion of Legacy’s surveying development projects.
When asked about the best career advice he has received, Dave said that his father taught him to, “be honest, do your job and do it well.” Dave said he implements this practice in all aspects of his life and it continues to serve him well.
Dave is a member of the Virginia Association of Surveyors and is active in his church community. Outside of work, Dave enjoys volleyball, snowboarding, target shooting, and anything outdoors.
